ORGANIZING AND MEANING-FORMATIVE FUNCTIONS OF PROSODICALLY MARKED TEXTUAL COMPONENTS (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE)

Abstract

The article describes the results of prosodic research conducted by the material of the English language and aimed to arrange textual prosodic structure. Prosodically marked textual elements served as a structural basis. The experiment focused on textual continuum identified prosodic meaningful blocks which possess the similar formal features in the different texts and perform identical functions.
