DEFORMED BODY, DYNASTY AND POWER IN THE PROSE OF GEORGE MARTIN
Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of perception of a deformed, abnormal, beyond the norms body in modern fiction of a historical fantasy genre. The authors try to determine how in the world, created by the American writer, the system of values of the middle Ages and the ideals of the XXI century are represented, which impose a code of behaviour in the family and state in the conditions of exclusion, discrimination and lack of tolerance to anything that does not meet the “norm”, imposed by authorities and ideology.
