THE WAYS OF FORMATION OF AUTHOR’S NEOLOGISMS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE BY THE MATERIAL OF J. K. ROWLING’S BOOKS

Abstract

The article deals with the ways of formation of author’s neologisms in the modern English language by the example of some neologisms from J. K. Rowling’s books “Harry Potter”, as well as the translations of this work into the German and Russian languages. The novelty is that new possible translations of some of the author’s neologisms are proposed. It is ascertained that when translating the texts of the fantasy genre, explanations or comments are very important and necessary, otherwise, the author’s intended meaning of this or that word will not be conveyed correctly or to the full extent.
