FOLKLORE AND FOLK CUSTOMS IN THE NOVEL BY THE TATAR WRITER GUMER BASHIROV “THE NATIVE LAND - THE GREEN CRADLE”

Abstract

The article deals with folklore and literary connections in the novel written by the Tatar writer Gumer Bashirov “The Native Land - the Green Cradle”. This topic has always been and remains relevant in literary criticism. The relationship between G. Bashirov’s work and folk art is covered in this article for the first time. The writer draws into the narrative many genres of the Tatar folklore: beits, beliefs, games, counting rhymes. He enriches the plot with colorful customs and rituals that make up the folk culture.
