Abstract

The article deals with the problem of polysemy of the aesthetic onym “la Peste” (the plague) in the work of the same name by writer-existentialist A. Camus. The onym under consideration both has attributes of intertextuality, and acquires a multitude of meanings: real disease, socio-political crisis of the society, fascism.
