MEANS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ILLOCUTIONARY POTENTIAL OF FALSE UTTERANCES (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF THE FRENCH LANGUAGE)

Abstract

The article is devoted to studying the phenomenon of lying and false utterances. Lying and deception are considered from the linguistic point of view. The author analyzes the role of the communicative-pragmatic space, within the framework of which false utterances are made. The study emphasizes the means to realize the illocutionary potential of false utterances in a communicative act. The main focus of the work is on various aspects of the phenomenon of lying and deception, as well as on the problem of identifying conditions for the successful implementation of lying in communication. The content of the research is compiled on the basis of the French language, and the work of Jean-Christophe Grange “Le Vol de Cigognes” (“Flight of the Storks”) is used as a source of examples.
