SPECIFICITY OF THE LITERARY-JOURNALISTIC GENRES OF I. GASPRINSKI’S HERITAGE

Abstract

The article deals with the genre nature of the journalism of one of the most famous figures of the Turkic world of the end of the XIX - the beginning of the XX century, educator, reformer of education in the Muslim region, writer, publisher, publicist Ismail Gasprinski. The author focuses, in particular, on the literary-journalistic genres of Gasprinski’s newspaper essays and on specific excerpts from his articles that were published in various years in the newspaper “ Терджиман ” (“Translator”), which had been printed for more than thirty years in Bakhchisarai, the Crimea, and shows the main genre direction of Gasprinski’s journalism. As the confirmation of the stated thesis, the author gives quotes from the original source - Gasprinski’s articles that were issued in “ Терджиман ” in different years of its publication.
