The English Inclusions and Borrowings in the French-Language Internet Space: Language Policy and Customary Usage

Abstract

The article reveals the influence of the English language on the French one under the conditions of globalization. The paper examines certain aspects of France’s language policy aimed to preserve specificity of the French linguo-culture, to create the French-language terminology in different spheres, in particular, in the sphere of politics and information technologies. By the material of network media texts, the researcher analyses cases of borrowings and inclusions, reveals usual peculiarities of lexical units and identifies tendencies in this sphere. The study is conducted using modern Internet technologies.
