Verbalization of the motif "Loneliness" in the lyrics of M. Y. Lermontov: Cognitive and semantic aspect

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to substantiate the cognitive-semantic status of the motif as a component of the lyrical plot. Based on the texts of M. Y. Lermontov's poems, it is proved that the motif is not so much a set of concepts or other cognitive structures, as the unity of the figurative levels of these components of the semantic space of the literary text. The scientific novelty lies in the consideration of the cognitive-semantic characteristics of the verbal markers of the motif in their unity with the interpretation of artistic imagery both as a result of metaphorization and as a condition for the transformation of an abstract idea into a visual image with extensive cognitive potential. As a result, it is proved that the motif as a component of the lyrical plot is a unity of perceptual (sensual in nature) images and cognitive (metaphorical) images. Verbal markers of a specific motif in M. Y.'s lyrics. Lermontov is represented by various fragments of the poet's individual author's worldview. The verbal markers of the motif "Loneliness" in the lyrical poetry of M. Y. Lermontov are lexical units of various partial affiliation, which can become figurative dominants of the motif under study. These are the metaphorical images of water (waves), rock (stone, cliff), tree, its leaves and branches.
