FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF THE ORGANIZATION OF INDEPENDENT WORK WHILE TEACHING PROFESSIONAL FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO THE STUDENTS OF THE INSTITUTE OF GEOLOGY AND OIL-AND-GAS

Abstract

In the article the experience of the organization of independent work of the students of Tomsk Polytechnical University (Institute of Geology and Oil-and-Gas) while studying "Professional foreign language" is considered. Independent work is defined as a necessary component of the educational process while teaching foreign language on the basis of some advantages of this kind of work and its urgency from the point of view of the problems facing a modern expert. The problems and perspectives of Foreign Languages Department in the sphere of the realization of the program of professional teaching in English are depicted.
