SPECIFICITY OF ORAL MONOLOGIC SPEECH AND TEACHING THIS TYPE OF SPEECH ACTIVITY TO TECHNICAL HIGHER EDUCATION ESTABLISHMENT STUDENTS

Abstract

The author analyzes the specificity of monologic oral speech, considers the problem of teaching students to this type of speech in classes of foreign language in technical higher education establishment, pays special attention to the notions “monologue” and “monologic oral speech” as well as the levels and parameters of monologic utterance, and presents the examples from her own experience of teaching English language for Tomsk Polytechnic University students.
