FILM NARRATIVE AS OBJECT OF NARRATOLOGICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the description of films as narratives that have spatial-temporal and cause-effect characteristics. An attempt of interdisciplinary research, in which the methods of literary works analysis are applied to film narratives, is undertaken. The narratological analysis of two films about Bluebeard is conducted, and the specificity of reproducing narrator’s voice and characters’ points of view is revealed. The features of the focalization, temporal structure, and background music of film narratives are analyzed.
