LINGUISTIC INDICATORS OF OBJECTIVE AND EVENTIVE TIME IN THE ENGLISH PSYCHOLOGICAL NOVEL
Abstract
The article examines the problem of linguistic representation of time in the English psychological prose. The paper analyzes eventive and objective time structuring the temporal space of the text. For that purpose the researcher identifies the basic linguistic indicators paying special attention to the syntactical means. The author concludes that aspectual-temporal forms in a literary text are the principal means to express time and often perform the functions not typical for them.
