STRUCTURE OF THE CONCEPT “FOREIGN LANGUAGE ACADEMIC COMPETENCE” THROUGH THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRANSLATION COMPETENCE

Abstract

The paper clarifies the concept of students’ foreign language academic competence through the prism of translation competence and foreign language linguistic competence; the author introduces recommendations for further development of the model to form the academic competence in the process of foreign language teaching at a non-linguistic higher school.
