STRATEGY OF THE TRANSLATION OF OCCASIONAL VOCABULARY FROM THE ASPECT OF HERMENEUTIC THEORY

Abstract

The article examines the problem of translation of authorial occasional words from the aspect of lingual-psychological interpretation, put forward in the framework of hermeneutic theory by F. Schleiermacher. The study is conducted by the material of the translation of the novel by Terry Pratchett “Maskerade” into the Russian language. The author proposes the procedure of the lingual-psychological analysis of occasional vocabulary and its translation. The interpretational analysis of a number of occasional units is done and variants of their translation are considered.
