ANALYSIS OF OLEN’KA KUDEYAROVA’S IMAGE IN THE ASPECT OF DEFAMILIARIZATION BY THE MATERIAL OF T. TOLSTAYA’S NOVEL “THE SLYNX”

Abstract

The article is devoted to the defamiliarization of female images in T. Tolstaya’s novel “The Slynx”. Analyzing the leading artistic features of the novel “The Slynx” through the lenses of a typical female image - Olen’ka Kudeyarova - the author shows that in “The Slynx” the technique of defamiliarization is used, through which the conception of T. Tolstaya’s artistic creativity is confirmed enabling to open the tendencies of defamiliarization in contemporary postmodern literature in Russia.
