“POLARITY” VIOLATION AS ONE OF THE MOTIVES FOR AGNONYMIC MISTAKES IN THE NATIVE JAPANESE SPEECH

Abstract

The article discovers the meaning of the notion “agnonymic mistake”. By the example of Japanese language the paper shows that one of the motives for such mistakes is “polarity” violation when interpreting the meaning of lexical units. The author argues that agnonymic mistakes in the native speech should be focused on when teaching foreign language since such mistakes can provoke communicative failure.
