COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH ETIQUETTE CLICHES USED IN THE WORK OF KATE ATKINSON “LIFE AFTER LIFE”

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the corpus of the English set clichéd phrases and their Russian analogs in the style of fiction by the example of the novel by Kate Atkinson “Life after Life”. On the basis of the performed analysis it can be concluded that the use of etiquette expressions denoting the stage of “greeting” of the communication process, is defined and specified by both the situation, and the desire of the communicants to establish positive communication.
