IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MOTIVE OF A CHILD IN DMITRII KARAMAZOV’S STORYLINE (COMLEX LINGUISTIC-STYLISTIC ANALYSIS)
Abstract
The article is devoted to the linguistic-stylistic analysis of the implementation of the motive of a child in Dmitrii Karamazov’s storyline by the material of the novel by F. M. Dostoyevsky “The Brothers Karamazov”. The analysis identifies four levels of its implementation in the narrative structure of the novel. At each of the levels the motive gets a different meaning. These semantic layers of the motive are combined by the key idea of the novel - the idea of spiritual brotherhood. Such meaningful organization of the motive enabled the author to suggest that it is an individual author’s embodiment of the Gospel motive of a child in the novel.
