THE USE OF THE CASE METHOD IN TEACHING ENGLISH

Abstract

The article considers the importance of using the case method in the process of teaching English at agricultural university. The authors study the problem of developing practical methods of applying case technology, which gives students the opportunity to engage in a situational analysis for the purpose of developing all types of speech activity. Several elements of cases worked out by the authors for discussing and solving common agricultural problems are proposed with a view to develop listening and speaking skills.
