ANALYSIS OF FUNCTIONING FEATURES OF ALLITERATIVE PARALLELISMS BY THE MATERIAL OF R. WILBUR’S POETIC TEXTS

Abstract

The article considers alliterative repetitions by the material of a sample of R. Wilbur’s works using the method of linguoculturological analysis. The objective of the paper is to reveal the correlation between the models of alliteration functioning in the modern English poetry and various linguistic and extralinguistic factors of influence. The obtained results show the correspondence of the alliterated syntactic constructions revealed in these texts to the general tendencies of using alliteration in modern English, taking into account linguoculturological factors.
