Foreign Literature

This collection presents scholarly articles investigating key phenomena and patterns in the historical development of world literatures (excluding Russian literature, the literatures of the peoples of Russia, and 20th-century Russian émigré literature). Primary focus is given to the holistic study of the literature of individual countries or groups united by linguistic/cultural characteristics, including analyses of the works of prominent authors. The specificity of this area of study lies in its coverage of a significant time span and a wide variety of literary works.
